ABOUT GDBA
Welcome to Gary Durrant Basketball Association (GDBA).

As one of Canada’s leading basketball programs, Gary Durrant Basketball Association provides a clean, safe, positive environment for children and youth to learn and grow.

Working with children and youth ages 5 to 17, GDBA emphasizes helping young people develop strong physical and life skills.

With a focus on putting the ‘fun’ back into fundamentals, GDBA focuses on drills, repetition and skills development. Our program teaches our student-athletes the importance of balancing academic achievement with athletics – taking young people to new heights.

Mission
GDBA believes all children and youth deserve to lead healthy, active and high-quality lives, to that end, the GDBA works collaboratively with parents and other community stakeholders to address critical issues faced by all children and youth, especially those struggling with issues of poverty, violence, peer-pressure, self-esteem, lack of nutrition and those who could benefit from increased fitness activity.

GDBA Values
- Low coach to participant ratio
- High quality instruction by certified and experienced coaches
- A positive and safe environment conducive to learning
- Affordable and accessible programs for all children and youth across GTA

GDBA Vision
At GDBA we envision a world where all children and youth have the opportunity, exposure, and mentoring to realize their own full-potential.

We try to do our part towards achieving that vision by working with children and youth, on and off the court - individually and in groups, to set and achieve their goals.

We also work with the leaders and change-agents of our communities (teachers, law enforcers, board members and community agency staff alike) to bridge understanding-gaps and build strong bonds of foundational success between children & youth and trusted adults.
