ABOUT GDBA
Welcome to Gary Durrant Basketball Association (GDBA).

As one of Canada’s leading basketball programs, Gary Durrant Basketball Association provides a clean, safe, positive environment for children and youth to learn and grow.

Our rep program participates in the OBA season that runs from September through April. After April, we frequently take our team(s) to a few US tournaments under the AAU banner. This year (2011/2012), we are focused on the Bantam age level (U13) boys team, Gary Durrant's Heat. and coached by Doug Johnson (former NCAA and European player), we expect great accomplishments from this squad of committed players. Rep practices are three times per week, building strength, endurance, skills and basketball IQ. Join us on our Facebook page.

The development program runs at York Mills Collegiate every Saturday from 12:00-2:00. The sessions are open to all kids (boys and girls) of all ages and skill levels. We work on basketball and life fundamentals, building a love of the Game and a focus on respect, discipline and commitment. And, we have fun. We run 10 sessions each 'semester' at a cost of $200.

Emphasis is placed on helping young people develop strong physical and life skills.

With a focus on putting the ‘fun’ back into fundamentals, GDBA focuses on drills, repetition and skills development. Our program teaches our students-athletes the importance of balancing academic achievement with athletics – taking young people to new heights.
